Dear America…

Woohoo!!!

20081

 Dear Florida,

Seriously, we couldn’t all agree to vote NO on ammendment 2?  It wasn’t just about gay marriage.  It was way more than that, but I truly believe that everyone that voted YES was because of the gay marriage portion.  Freaking GROW UP already.

As Election day draws ever closer….

October 8, 2008 at 2:34 pm (life, Politics, Uncategorized)

A really good article about the two candidates….and again…please vote on Election day, because if you don’t (and even if you vote for the other candidate) you have no right to complain about what’s going on if you decide to not participate.

This article really brings it home as to why I support Barack Obama…not just because I’m a registered Democrat.  I freely admit I voted for Bush in 2000 and probably 2004 (although I think I voted for Kerry but I can’t remember).

We can NOT let life continue as it has for the last eight years.  What happened to the America we used to be?  I truly believe that the only way to get back to what we once were is to elect Barack Obama and let him truly lead us as a united nation once more.

So again please go and vote on Election day.  Please.  Don’t make me beg to the internet…but I will if I have to!

And again, if you don’t vote, then you can seriously STFU because you had the chance to express your opinion and desire and instead you did nothing.

Peace.

Obama-Biden on Election Day!

Hello blogsphere!

February 20, 2008 at 1:31 pm (movies, Uncategorized) ()

Ok, so I know I’m years late jumping on the blogsphere bandwagon, but hey, better late than never! LOL

A hearty HELLO to everyone out there and I hope I have enough time to keep myself and any eventual readers interested!

So a topic that sprung to my mind earlier this week as I was watching Star Wars 3 Revenge of the Sith and I was just so annoyed at a few things.

  1. they took the very strong and dymanic ex-queen, now senator Padme and made her a whiny, almost weak woman. Yes, I know she’s pregnant with Luke and Leia but still, why the dramatic personality shift?
  2. How much more whinier could Anikin get in this movie?  I find it amusing to no end that this whiny, full of himself jock turns into Darth Vader, the most feared Dark Lord ever.

Of course, I should also say that I’m in the process of reading a ton of Star Wars books that follow the time line after the battle of Endor (that would be Return of the Jedi to you) and when I reading I can hear the voices of Harrison Ford and Carrie Fisher et al.

Random Star Wars fun fact: C3P0 is written as Threepio  and R2D2 is written as Aretoo in the books.  Han and Leia get married and other stuff!
